RE: Please Save Bulls From Bloodlust in Spain
Dear Sir/Madam:
I am writing to you today to express my horror and outrage regarding Linoso, a bull, who was savagely tortured and slaughtered during a horrendous "party" called the "Toro de la Vega" in Tordesillas, Spain. During the party, the bull was chased by hundreds of people armed with lances. After several hours of agony, severely injured and weakened from blood loss, he died. PETA requested that the authorities intervene and end this barbaric slaughter; however, animal welfare concerns were dismissed.
Through out history, there have been countless examples of "traditions" which have been so cruel and barbaric that no civilized society would permit their continuance. This deplorable practice is among one of those. Tradition never justifies cruelty and I join with thousands of concerned people in demanding that you put an end to all animal sacrifices or face worldwide disdain.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
